The New Consumer Duty

22 June, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 23 June, 2022 @ 12:00 am

Getting ready for the new Consumer Duty

Join Shelley Read and Gregor Sked as they host our latest protection webinar ‘Counting down to the new Consumer Duty – get ready now’ on Wednesday 22 June at 10am.

The new Consumer Duty is fast approaching. Is your business ready?

At the end of July, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) are expected to publish the new Consumer Duty rules – which will become mandatory by April 2023. These will require adviser firms, of all sizes, to measure whether they’re delivering good outcomes for clients. This new regulation means a fundamental shift of focus for many financial advisers – from treating customers fairly to treating customers well.

In this webinar we’ll explore:

  • The key changes the Consumer Duty will introduce – the principle and rules which underpin the FCA’s new approach to regulation and consumer protection.
  • What these mean for protection advisers and what your business needs to be doing to prepare for 2023.
  • What advisers like you are saying about it – how they see their business adjusting, how prepared they feel and whether they have any plans in place to get ready in time.
  • The tools and resources we offer to get you ready now – helping you to have successful protection conversations with your clients and build better financial resilience.
