We are currently recruiting Mortgage Advisers nationally

We are looking to appoint mortgage and protection advisers for our new client enquiries. We require additional advisers experienced in residential mortgages, buy-to-let mortgages, and protection plans to help service the enquiries.

We have opportunities for advisers to work with clients generated via our marketing, clients generated via our business introducers or clients from our relationship with a national chain of Estate and Letting Agents. Suitable applicants could be allocated a branch in their locality whilst still having support from the Connect team centrally to grow and develop their mortgage sales. 

The role opportunities are mainly self-employed; however, there are some employed vacancies. Working hours are flexible, and opportunities exist to work either from a branch or to work from home. Experience and a proven track record are required.

Successful candidates will receive regular leads and represent the Connect Mortgages brand. They will need to have strong communication skills, analytical abilities, computer skills, and the ability to build relationships and work as part of a team.

Connect Mortgage Advisers benefit from a full support package. This includes leads, an in-house marketing team, dedicated mortgage administrators looking after all application submissions and processing, and a robust compliance and training programme. Our goal is to enable each adviser to develop their full potential.

Employed packages include a basic salary plus commission and pension; self-employed packages offer greater flexibility, a higher earnings potential, and initial financial support if needed. 

For interested candidates with less experience, there may be an alternative opportunity via our Network. Our Network operates an Academy that helps advisers who are qualified but not experienced develop the essential lender knowledge and sales skills and run their own mortgage businesses.

We seek an experienced Mortgage and Protection Compliance Manager to join our growing in-house compliance team. 

Connect IFA Ltd, trading as Connect Mortgages and Connect for Intermediaries, has a network of over 250 mortgage and protection advisers supported by our dedicated compliance team. Connect has been trading for over 20 years and has 45 staff that are based at its branch in Hornchurch, Essex. 

Our adviser numbers are growing, so we are looking to recruit a further compliance manager and also a compliance assistant to join the team. The successful candidates will help guide our mortgage and protection advisers on the requirements required to stay compliant with our regulator, the FCA, and complete associate file and application checks. They will enjoy varied role which include:

  • Mortgage and Protection file checks
  • Training advisers on regulatory requirements
  • Compiling and analysing management information
  • Compliance policy management
  • Recruitment due diligence and risk checking
  • Audit and compliance record keeping

Connect is proud to regularly receive compliments from advisers about the friendly, supportive role the compliance team offers. The appointed compliance administrator will join a team that looks to guide advisers on how to grow their businesses while remaining FCA regulatory compliant.

Successful candidates will be based in our offices in Hornchurch, Essex. We are looking for full-time staff to work Monday to Friday, although we will consider some flexibility for the right candidate. The role is predominantly office-based, but we can consider some homeworking for very experienced mortgage compliance applicants. 

We are looking for candidates either already with the following skills or with some experience and willingness to build on these skills:

  • Knowledge of AML and KYC procedures
  • CeMap or equivalent mortgage or protection qualification
  • Strong organisation and analytical skills
  • Excellent computer and communication skills
  • Experience in mortgages, protection or a similar role

The package includes a salary based on knowledge and experience, a performance-related bonus, and a contributory pension. Candidates with the right skills can progress into more senior roles.
